From author's site:
Online Armor's firewall is designed to be easy to use, right out of the box. If you don't want to understand all of the technical bits and pieces and just want to use your computer, Online Armor is for you.
After installing Online Armor, it defaults to standard mode. In standard mode you are asked no technical questions about ports, protocols and so on - just simply "Do you want to allow this program to use the internet?". A list of programs that the Tall Emu team knows are safe are included - these will be allowed to use the internet automatically.
If a program tries to use the internet and it's not on our list, you're asked a simple question: Do you want this program to be allowed to access the internet, or not? Why does it work this way?
The logic is simple - most people don't understand the questions that complex security programs ask them. Our belief is that there is no point in asking someone a question they have no real way of giving the answer. So the firewall is designed and built to not ask questions when running in Standard mode.
