Skix™ is a light and easy-to-use tool which... breaks pictures in pieces! It is a good solution for those who wish to save their photos from stealing from Web. Skix breaks the picture to small chunks, so 'Save Picture As...' button cannot be used to save the whole picture anymore.
Besides smashing the picture itself, SKIX also generates the corresponding HTML code, so the original HTML documents can be modified to use the smashed picture with ease.

There are not a lot of freeware titles in this category but Skix arbitrarily slices images very quickly. Only works with JPG and BMP files. (NOTE: The purpose of image slicing is to speed the display of images NOT to protect them - a simple screen capture will still grab the image. However, image slicing DOES prevent sites from leeching a site's bandwidth by preventing direct linking to the image.)
