Clipyard

What can Clipyard do for you? In a nutshell, Clipyard can combine your Flash SWF files, plus other resources such as JPEG, GIF, BMP and MP3, into one new Flash file. Also Goldshell's FlaX, Pixifex and Astro programs can export their files to Clipyard.

Clipyard consists of a WYSIWYG interface, which turns the creation of professional text effects into a matter of adjusting some sliders and pressing some buttons.

Clipyard's direct processing capabilities make sure that you never have to guess what your settings will look like: you are already looking at the result!

Here with a summary of the things that Clipyard can and can not do. This will help you solve 50% of the encountered problems, and gives a direct insight of whether Clipyard is suitable for you.

- The maximum SWF combined size is 4Mb
- Since the SWF files constructed by Clipyard will contain sprites
and actionscript, they will NOT import properly into Flash. If you need to use them inside other Flash movies, you should use the loadmovie command.

- Importable formats: Swf, FlaX, Jpeg, Gif, Bmp and Mp3 files.
- Jpeg images can not be progressive jpeg.
- Bmp images cannot be 24 bits: use Jpeg instead.
- Mp3 files will become sounds, not sound tracks
- The maximum file size for each imported file is 1 Megabyte.
- Your Actionscript should NOT access the root. E.g. make your script not //mysprite//hello but ../../hello
- 2500 frames are available, which is at 12 frames per second good for 3 1/2 minutes of animation.
- Clipyard can handle compressed Flash 6/7 files.
